A Letter From Our Founder

Dear friends of The R Collective, 

Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy New Year! We are raring to go with 2024! 

We are still celebrating an impactful year of 2023. Like you, we love fashion and loathe waste and in the remarkable seven years we've spent together building this social impact business, we have together achieved much impact, 

To date, with thanks to you, we've taken various far-ranging actions to make positive impacts on the fashion industry, instilling responsibility from design to doorstep and creating new supply chains with our partners, with reducing textile waste at the heart of what we do.

Some highlights including:   

• Rescued 267,000 yards of textiles, including clothing waste and 15,000 square feet of leather waste for reuse and recycle. See R Responsibility here. 

• Seen our womenswear designs retailed in the likes of Net A Porter and Lane Crawford. See R Fashion here.

• Enjoyed media coverage in leading global magazines, including Vogue, Vogue Business and Forbes. See R Media here.

• Worked with and dressed incredible women, with their incredible stories. See R women here.
  

That said - some things do come to an end.

As we enter 2024, we have taken a bold, and we think brilliant, strategic decision to focus our efforts where we are already making the most impact. That’s why we have decided that The R Collective's incredible R Fashion journey - of our womenswear lines created by rescuing, reusing and recycling luxury waste - will gracefully come to a close in February 2024. 

But this is not the end. Far from it! 

We believe that every end has a new beginning. That’s why we are doubling down on our other waste-reducing missions by expanding our other high impact work through R Products - our responsible corporate products made from luxury waste - and R Textiles - our collaborative work with luxury brand partners to provide industry recycling solutions to accelerate circularity and reduce obsolete textiles. This work is delivering large-scale, waste-reducing and circular solutions. And we can’t get enough of it. 

To our cherished community, we extend a sincere thank you for believing in us. Fear not, we will be calling on you to continue being our heroes as we continue rescuing, reusing and recycling fashion waste.
